'We’ve had great results, so winning this award is the icing on the cake’, said a delighted Clare Dixey, Marketing Services Manager at Thompson & Morgan, the leading online retailer of plants and seeds.

She was speaking at the recent Direct Commerce Association Partnership of Year Awards ceremony, in Hampton Court Palace, just after collecting the prestigious Data Partnership of the Year award with colleague Vicky Ager, Head of Client Sales & Direct Trading and Dan Croxen-John, CEO of AWA digital, the other half of this successful partnership.

The award was presented in recognition of the outstanding Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO) work that AWA has carried out on the Thompson & Morgan website, resulting in double-digit revenue growth for the giant horticultural company.

Clare also praised how eAWA (1).jpgnjoyable the partnership is, saying ‘My weekly call with our Lead Optimiser at AWA is one of the highlights of my working week.' Clare explains more about working with AWA digital in the results video.

The awards came at the end of an inspiring and informative day at which market research specialists fastMAP revealed the findings of the Multichannel Retailing DNA report interspersed with talks from industry experts. At lunchtime, there was a buzz around social media after Charlotte Hamill from Born Social gave insights into social integration across all channels.

After lunch Simon Brown from Joe Browns kicked off the Brand Masters event with an insightful talk about not just believing in the brand but living it, and how this is perceived by customers.

Another high point of the evening was seeing Andrew Wilson collecting the Lifetime Achievement Award for his extensive consulting career.

Dan said, ‘We’re really pleased to win and grateful to Thompson & Morgan for their support in winning this important award. Andrew’s lifetime achievement award is truly deserved, and was a perfect ending to a great day.’
